Community Celebration Day

The Community Celebration day promises to be one of the events of the summer.  Help us celebrate the achievements of Alcock and Browns first transatlantic flight.

The event has been organised for the whole family to enjoy, with Duck Races, Funfair rides, Inflatables, Farmers markets, food stalls, historical re-enactors, model trains and much, much more.

Follow us on facebook for unto date information on this amazing day.

This day is still being added to, to ensure that this celebration lives long in the memory of the people involved.  If you would like to participate in the event please do not hesitate to get in contact with us.

We are still looking for special contributors from all genres to be part of this special day.  Below are the details of what is confirmed so far, just click on the tabs to find out more information.

Rides –

🤩 We are very pleased to announce the lovely people at LEE FAMILY AMUSEMENTS will be joining us at our Community Celebration Day.

🎠They will be entertaining the little ones of the family with great traditional fairground rides and inflatables.

I am most excited about their mini aeroplane ride, for those budding air cadets out there

Rides Information

Duck Race
The hardworking people of the CRAYFORD ROTARY CLUB will be holding 6 races throughout the day, along the beautiful river side. Choose your ducks racing number and cheer the little guy along to the winning line to claim your prize 🥇

We have some very competitive, unique ducklings joining these special races. The generous children and their leaders form 1st NORTHCRAY SCOUT GROUP are donating some very smart looking RAF ducks. They’re so cute! (PHOTO)

The races will be sponsored by local businesses and organisations. If you want to sponsor a race please contact Mike.

World Record Attempt

Join us with our Guinness World Records attempt, “Most model aircraft launched simultaneously” ✈️ EVERYONE that takes part will be a record breaker & will receive a certificate 🤩 21/07/19.

This is open to the whole family, mums, dads, young children, big kids, little wobbly granny’s, enthusiastic gym type uncles, the lovely lady that lives next door and the child that eats dinner at your house every Friday evening (even though you know his already eaten at his mums)…

We have our very own special “aircraft” for purchase either on the day or via your local school/youth organisation.

Guinness have set us with strict instructions which we have to abide to, so please help us break the record by listening to the stewards and event staff. Be a record breaker, not a party pooper!

*we do not own the rights to the Guinness world record logo.
